We find it, we buy it, we deliver it to your warehouse
Refined petroleum products, and African commodities. You tell us what you need and to what specification. We find the supplier, verify who they are, check that the goods meet the standards of your own country, have them inspected before shipment, and deliver to your door under one contract.
You never wire money to a producer you have not met. The purchase is settled by a documentary credit, against documents.
What we source
Every commodity has its season, its grades and its documents. Buying out of harvest means paying more for goods that have been stored for months. We will tell you before you commit to anything. Origins, harvest windows and packing, commodity by commodity.
On refined products we plan in tonnes as much as in litres: forty thousand litres of gas oil weigh 33.4 t against a road tanker payload of 30 t, which is the detail that decides whether an operation is legal. Duties and levies on imports.
If your commodity is not listed, ask anyway. What we will not source is gold, diamonds and precious stones.
How it works
- 1
You send your specification
- You
- Commodity, grade, quantity, destination, delivery window.
- We
- We tell you within two working days whether it is feasible at that specification, in that season, at that volume, and we say so plainly when it is not.
- 2
We quote the sourcing work
- You
- You decide whether to proceed. Nothing binds you before this point.
- We
- A fixed fee for the sourcing assignment, quoted against your specification. It is not a percentage of a deal that does not exist yet.
- 3
The fee is settled, and the work starts
- You
- You settle the sourcing fee.
- We
- We identify producers and licensed exporters, check registrations and export licences, and visit sites where the volume justifies it. We verify that the goods meet the standards of your own country: quality criteria, certification, packing and labelling requirements, and we have them inspected on that basis. We negotiate, and come back with real offers: supplier, grade, quantity available, price, loading window.
- 4
You open a documentary credit
- You
- Once you accept an offer, your bank issues an irrevocable credit in our favour, covering the goods, inland transport, export formalities, inspection, freight and clearance.
- We
- We prepare the documents the credit will call for, and check every term is achievable before anything is loaded.
- 5
We buy, inspect and ship
- You
- You receive the goods at your warehouse, and pay against compliant documents, not before.
- We
- We purchase, arrange independent pre-shipment inspection, move the goods to the port, handle export formalities and deliver to your door.
Why the sourcing work is paid before it starts
We will not pretend this is comfortable. You are asked to pay a company you have not met, in a market with a reputation you have read about. So here is exactly what the fee buys, and why we do not work on the promise of a commission.
- Identifying producers and licensed exporters who actually hold the volume, rather than intermediaries reselling someone else's stock
- Verifying each candidate: company registration in the RCCM, export licence with the sector regulator, bank references, real production capacity
- Site visits where the volume justifies the trip, the only check that cannot be done from a desk
- Negotiating price, grade and loading window on your behalf, in the local market and in the local language
- Commissioning independent pre-shipment inspection against your criteria, from a body we appoint and you can verify
- Assembling the export file: certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, quality certificate, and whatever your trade requires
Sourcing on the promise of a future commission means querying producers for buyers who never buy. It costs us weeks, and it costs us our standing with the very suppliers you will need. A producer who has been approached three times for nothing stops answering. A paid assignment is a serious assignment, and it is the reason we can get an honest price out of a market that has learned to be suspicious of enquiries.
The fee covers the assignment, not a result we cannot guarantee. If the crop is not available at your specification, we tell you, and we tell you early. That answer has value too.
What we do not do
We do not deal in gold, diamonds or precious stones. Those trades operate under specific licensing and traceability regimes, and the overwhelming majority of unsolicited offers circulating in that field are fraudulent. If that is what you are looking for, we are not the right company.
We do not quote a commodity price before studying a file. On these trades, a price given without knowing the grade, the quality and the exact origin means nothing, and anyone who gives you one over the phone is telling you something about how they work.
