Two ways to deliver
In West Africa, by road tanker
From our own depots or those of our partners in Dakar, Abidjan, Lomé or Cotonou, depending on availability, to your site, including in landlocked countries: Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger. Tanks sealed at loading, trucks tracked by GPS.
Elsewhere in Africa, by ship
Central, East and Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean islands: we deliver by ship directly to your port, from 2,000 tonnes. For example to Douala, Pointe-Noire, Walvis Bay, Matola, Beira, Nacala or Toamasina.
We specialise in Africa, but we study any request, including for Europe.
Quality, quantity and documents
- Every lot is inspected at loading by an independent inspection company. If you want a specific inspector, say so in your request.
- A certificate of analysis comes with every lot, to be checked against the contract specification.
- The quantity is measured at loading and stated on a certificate of quantity.
- You receive the transport documents (bill of lading for a ship, delivery note for a road tanker) and the commercial invoice.
- The loading port or depot is written into the contract.
Price
The price follows the international quotation for the product, published daily by Platts, plus a premium stated in the offer. The premium depends on the product, the quantity, the loading point, the delivery point and the payment terms.
We do not publish a price per litre: the quotation moves every day, and a price given without those details means nothing. The offer states the basis of calculation and how long it is valid.
Payment
Two ways to pay, at the buyer's choice:
- 1An irrevocable documentary credit (LC), opened by your bank in our favour and payable against the delivery documents.
- 250% with the order, the balance on the terms written into the contract.
Cash and carry
If you collect the product at the depot with your own trucks, we ask for a purchase order and proof that the funds are available.

Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum quantity you deliver?
By ship, the minimum is 2,000 tonnes, delivered to your port. By road tanker in West Africa, quantities are counted in tankers: state your volume per delivery and per month, and the offer will reflect it.
Do you deliver CST 180 fuel oil by truck?
In West Africa, yes, depending on availability in our depots and those of our partners. Elsewhere in Africa, CST 180 is delivered by ship, from 2,000 tonnes.
What do I need to receive CST 180 fuel oil?
Tanks and lines that can heat it: at ambient temperature it is too viscous to be pumped and injected. Also state the sulphur content required by your engine maker, your operating permit or your country's regulations. For ships, the global limit has been 0.50% since 1 January 2020, unless a scrubber is fitted.
Do you deliver to landlocked countries?
Yes. Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger are supplied by road tanker from Dakar, Abidjan, Lomé or Cotonou. The corridor is chosen on product availability and on the state of roads and borders at the time of delivery.
How is the price calculated?
International quotation for the product (Platts), plus a premium stated in the offer. The contract sets the pricing period, for example the average of the quotations around the loading date. The premium depends on the product, the quantity, the loading point, the delivery point and the payment terms.
Why is there no price per litre on the site?
Because the quotation moves every day and the price depends on the product, the quantity, the loading point, the delivery point and the payment. A published price would be wrong the next day. Send your request: the offer gives you the exact basis of calculation.
Which payment terms do you accept?
An irrevocable documentary credit (LC) opened by your bank in our favour, or 50% with the order and the balance on the contract terms. For cash and carry collection at the depot, we ask for a purchase order and proof that the funds are available.
What is proof of funds?
A letter from your bank, on its letterhead, signed and dated, confirming that the amount of the order is available in your account. It shows that the order can be paid on collection.
How is quality controlled?
Every lot is inspected at loading by an independent inspection company and leaves with its certificate of analysis. Check it against the contract specification, and have the product tested on receipt if you wish.
Which documents will you receive?
The certificate of analysis, the certificate of quantity, the transport documents (bill of lading for a ship, delivery note for a road tanker) and the commercial invoice.
What is the difference between 10 ppm and 50 ppm diesel?
Sulphur content: at most 10 milligrams per kilogram for 10 ppm (European EN 590 standard), 50 for 50 ppm, the ceiling ECOWAS has set for imports since 1 January 2021. Recent engines fitted with emission control systems are designed for low sulphur diesel: follow your manufacturer's recommendation.
How many litres are there in a tonne?
It depends on the density stated on the certificate of analysis. For diesel (820 to 845 kg/m³ at 15 °C under EN 590), a tonne is roughly 1,180 to 1,220 litres. For CST 180 (no more than 991 kg/m³), a tonne is just over 1,000 litres. A road tanker carrying 40,000 litres of diesel carries about 33.4 tonnes.
What are the delivery times?
They depend on the product, the loading point, availability and, by ship, the distance to your port. The lead time is stated in the offer and written into the contract.
Do you deliver outside Africa?
We specialise in Africa, but we study any request, including for Europe. State the port or delivery point in your request.
